Yeah, yeah, you might remember Judy Ann Santos from last couple of months on tv appearance on GMA 7 and all… with that rumors fly around that Judy Ann will be transfering to ABS CBN’s rival network.. as it turns out.. Judy Ass is still a Kapamilya after all..

Here’s what we read.

Superstar actress Judy Ann Santos proved her loyalty to her mother network as she signed on Thursday for another two-year contract until 2011 with ABS-CBN despite reports that she’s planning to move to a rival network.

“Ito na po, nangyari na po at naganap na po ang contract signing tapos na,” Santos said.

In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Santos explained that she decided to ink the contract after thorough negotiations.

“Lahat naman nadadaan sa maayos na usapan and hindi mo din maiiwasan na magkaroon kayo ng hindi pagkakaunawaan. Tao din kayo pare-pareho na nasasaktan kapag may mga insidenteng dumarating na hindi mo maiiwasan na kailangan mo ding harapin.

“Pero for whatever its worth, I’m just so happy that I was able to straighten things with everybody, with the management and they are very accommodating when it comes to talking about everything, iyong matapos na natin lahat,” Santos said.

The actress said that the contract is an assurance that she will remain in ABS-CBN’s fold after her present contract expires July of 2009.

“I’m still thankful that ABS-CBN was very accommodating and very understanding when it comes to reviewing the contracts. Kumbaga they gave me enough time to process everything and I really appreciate that.

She said that she’s happy with her the contract, adding that that she was the one who decided on what programs she would do.

“Mas masaya lang ako sa kontrata ko ngayon kasi sa akin nanggaling kung ano iyong mga programang gusto kong gawin and parang feeling ko bilang artista iyon lang din ang hinihanap ko na siyempre kung gagawa ako ng isang trabaho, gusto ko iyong gusto ko,” she said.

It will be recalled that Santos even had a rift with her manager, Alfie Lorenzo, when she decided to consult with a lawyer first before renewing the contract.

“Oo ito iyong kinonsulta sa lawyer at saka para lang ma-explain sa akin. Kasi hindi naman ako lawyer para maintindihan ko iyong malalim na ibig sabihin na nakalagay sa kontrata. Aminado akong walang alam sa ganyan so gusto kong malaman iyon lang naman iyong sa akin.”

Santos also admitted that it took some time before she signed the contract because of the following reasons:

“Una kasi nag-isip pa ako.

“Pangalawa kasi kailangan kong intindihing mabuti.

“Pangatlo kailangang i-draft ng mga lawyers ang mga napag-usapang naming kontrata at napag-usapan naming nilalaman ng kontrata. Then the lawyers had to meet with the representatives of ABS-CBN to negotiate and then nagbakasyon, nagkaroon ng Undas kaya ngayon lang at busy din ako. So hindi lang magka-swak swak ang schedule.

Right now, Santos said that she and her manager Lorenzo are back in good terms. She said that she accepts the fact that disagreements will always come in their way.

“Mukhang ganoon naman yata hindi mo maiiwasan na magkaroon ka ng katampuhan, nanay ko nga nagkakaroon kami minsan ng tampuhan si Tito Alfie pa. Parang tampuhan lang ng mag-nanay na hindi nagkaintindihan siguro mas napalaki lang sa mga tao kasi usapang career pero sa totoo personal na usapan lang talaga, ano lang lumalim na lang kasi ang dami ding nakisawsaw,” she said.

Santos also defended her soon-to-be husband, actor-host Ryan Agoncillo, against reports that he is meddling on her career.

“Wala, walang sumusulsol sa akin, 30 years old na ako, noong bata nga ako hindi ako nasusulsulan ngayon pang malaki ako,” Santos said.

The actress said no one should be blamed in all her decisions because she is old and mature enough to stand by her words.

“Kumbaga ngayon lang naman ako haharap sa isang isyu sa buhay ko na para sigurong naninibago iyong mga tao na after a long time ngayon lang ako nag-decide pero hindi po ako po ito, it’s really unfair for Ryan and my friends na sisisihin silang sinusulsulan ako, because para naman din nilang sinabing wala akong sariling utak para pangatawan iyong mga salita ko,” explained Santos.

Meanwhile, present during the contract signing at ABS-CBN’s 9501 Restaurant were network executives, Lorenzo and the network president Charo Santos-Concio.

Wedding – not yet

Meanwhile, Santos said that she and Agoncillo are still undecided on their wedding date since they are both busy doing their respective jobs.

“Sa totoo hindi kami makapagbigay ng buwan kasi kami mismo hindi namin alam, hindi naman sa hindi kami desidido, yes decided kami pero ang dami lang dapat i-consider. I’m sure sa mga nagpakasal diyan they know what I’m talking about,” she said.

Santos also said that at present, Agoncillo is busy with his latest television project “Pieta” and she’s reparing for her fundraising project that aims to raise money for her movie “Ploning” which is the official Philippine entry to the Oscars.

However, Santos said that she and Agoncilllo still manage to arrange and talk about details of the wedding whenever they have free time.

She also said that they are looking for a place to build their dream house.

“Bahay muna talaga ang uunahin namin kasi after ng kasal hindi naman pwedeng nakatungaga lang kami at wala kaming pupuntahan after the wedding. So iyon pinag-uusapan muna namin naghahanap kami ng lote magpapa-feng shui pa it’s gonna be a long long process but it’s an exciting process. Excited ako kasi parang nagbubukas ka ng panibagong libro sa buhay mo na wala kang kaalam alam at all so I’m looking forward to it,” Santos said.
