Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann for Rosalinda

A little late for the news. I just found out that the first project of the pretty face, Carla Abellana is the Pinoy version of Thalia telenovela – Rosalinda… And the one opposite of her is Geoff Eigenmann.
Here’s what we read on PEP.PH:
Ginanap kaninang hapon, June 4, ang story conference ng upcoming primetime series ng GMA-7 na Rosalinda, ang Pinoy remake ng popular Mexicanovela na pinagbidahan nina Thalia at Fernando Carrillo. Sa dining room ng Studio 7 ng GMA Network ginanap ang naturang storycon.
I’m thinking now, since they did the storycon, if GMA 7 would stick to the original story line of ROsalinda.
Ang newcomer na si Carla Abellana ang gaganap sa papel na Rosalinda, samantalang ang balik-Kapuso na si Geoff Eigenmann naman ang gaganap bilang Fernando Jose.
Masayang-masaya si Carla dahil first starring role niya ang Rosalinda. Hindi nga mawala ang ngiti sa mukha ng dalaga dahil tuloy na tuloy na ang pagbibida niya pagkatapos ng matagal na preparasyon.
“I feel so happy now, kasi heto na ‘yon. I can’t believe na magi-i-start na kami. Para pa rin akong nananaginip,” sambit ni Carla nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang entertainment press.
Ito naman ang masasabi niya sa pakikipagtrabaho sa kanyang leading man na si Geoff: “I am looking forward to get to know him more. Dito nga sa story conference ko nakilala nang husto si Geoff. I heard a lot of good things about him kaya excited ako to work with him.”
Sinabihan si Carla na panoorin ang original series na Rosalinda para maging pamilyar siya sa character na gagampanan niya.
“Nagandahan ako sa story, although hindi ko pa natatapos. Yung mga napanood ko na, maganda. Nakakatuwa si Thalia. And it’s an honor for me to play her role dito sa GMA,” sabi ng anak ng dating aktor na si Rey “PJ” Abellana.
Bukod kina Carla at Geoff, kasama rin sa Rosalinda sina Ariel Rivera, Sheryl Cruz, Roderick Paulate, Jessa Zaragoza, Jennifer Sevilla, Sherilyn Reyes, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Gary Estrada, Sheena Halili, Mike Tan, Ryza Cenon, Marco Alcaraz, Gian Magdangal, Mart Escudero, Kristal Reyes, at Marky Lopez.
Hindi pa binanggit kanina sa storycon kung sino ang gaganap sa role na Fedra, na siyang magiging kalaban ni Rosalinda. Pero malakas ang bulung-bulungan na ang gaganap sa naturang role ay ang magbabalik-Kapuso na si Cristine Reyes. (Click here to read related story.)
