Angel Locsin Taong Grasa

Si Angel Locsin ay gaganap ng isang taong grasa sa susunod na episode ng Maalaala Mo Kaya. Isa na naman itong challenging na role para kay Angel Locsin.

Bago maging isang Taong Grasa si Angel Locsin sa episode na ito ng Maalaala Mo Kaya, siya muna ay gaganap bilang isang scholar ng University of the Philippines (UP) na naging GRO at naging baliw sa dami ng problema.

Dahil sa kanyang husay na pagganap sa isa pang episode ng Maalaala Mo Kaya (“Pilat”) marahil ito ang naging dahilan upang gumawa sya muli ng isang pang project sa MMK.

Matatandaang nabigyan si Angel ng kanyang first Best Actress award sa kanyang pagganap sa Maalaala Mo Kaya episode na “Pilat.” Ito ang tinanghal na Best Single Performance By an Actress sa 22nd Star Awards for Television na inorganisa ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC)

Dahil sa isa ngang baliw ang gagampanan role ni Angel Locsin, nag request sya na magpunta sa isang mental institution upang mapag aralang mabuti ang gagawin nyang role sa palabas.

Ani Angel, “Bilang paghahanda ko sa pagbabalik ko sa MMK, natakot ako na gampanan ang isang role ng isang baliw, pero nang mabasa ko ang script ng character ni Nympha, grabe na-intriga ako kung bakit siya humantong sa ganong kalagayan. Imagine, isang UP scholar na naballiw, naiisip ko tuloy kung ano ang nagtutulak sa isang tao para mabaliw, kahirapan ba, matinding trahedya, kaya nag-immerse ako para maintindihan ko ang pinanggagalingan nila!”

Abangan ang nakakaantig na episode na ito ngayong Sabado, February 28, sa MMK.

Vicky Belo versus Boy Abunda

This Vicky Belo versus Boy Abunda issue has been in the news for a few days now and I think its worth a while to mention here. First heard the statement not from Vicky Belo or the TV show but from my wife who’s been watching the showbiz tv show that time…

Here’s what we read:

Popular cosmetic surgeon and “Doctor to the Stars” Vicky Belo sitting in as guest in GMA 7’s Showbiz Central for an interview with Mo Twister last Sunday, February 22, made a comment against talent manager/TV host, Boy Abunda.

“And I’d like to say, if you want to look like Boy Abunda, then go to Calayan. But if you like to look like Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual, come to Belo.” said Belo.

In response to Belo, Abunda said in ABS-CBN’s Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN): “Matagal na panahon kaming nagsama ni Vicki. And Vicki, if you’re watching, alam mo na kahit kailan, kahit kailan, hindi ako namuhunan sa gandang panlabas. Alam mo, namuhunan ako ng lakas ng loob, sipag, tiyaga, dasal. At Vicki, wala akong ilusyong maganda ako, wala akong ilusyon. Pero wala rin sinumang may karapatang manlait sa aking pagkatao.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Manny Calayan fires back at rival Belo for her comment. “We are behind Boy Abunda, 101 percent. We understand his feelings and reactions to the ridiculing and insulting remarks he sustained from Dra. Belo. Promoting one’s business or services by stepping on someone was uncalled for,” said Calayan.

Another crazy thing that Dr. Calayan mentioned is that Dingdong Danter was from Calayan group before..We made him that way… one shot for Vicky Belo I guess.

Cheska Garcia reveals she is pregnant with a baby girl

Cheska Garcia has always been a pretty face in my opinion. She’s the simpliest, most cute teen star in her generation… Now she is pregnant..

Here’s what we read:

Celebrity couple Cheska Garcia and Doug Kramer appeared on the Studio 23 show Us Girls last Sunday, February 15, to reveal the great news about their new family member. The sister of Patrick Garcia will soon be giving birth to a baby girl!

A few months after their wedding last October 2008, Chesca experienced physical manifestations that made her realize that she was pregnant. “I wasn’t delayed yet when I found out that I was pregnant. I just had the feeling, kasi iba yung kain ko, I got so tired so fast.” The soon-to-be mom granted the exclusive interview to her Us Girls co-hosts, Angel Aquino and Iya Villania. When Iya asked how her appetite changed, Cheska described, “More, saka parang sarap na sarap ako.” Her husband Doug even added, “Grabe kumain yan, saka sumasabay sa kin yan, she eats so much.”

The soon-to-be parents also narrated the first time they saw the baby on the monitor when Chesca had her first checkup. “The first checkup obviously there was really nothing there, our confirmation lang na I was actually pregnant. The second checkup that was really funny,” recalled Cheska.

Doug continued: “Inside her sacks was parang a swimming pool ng baby, so very small pa sya but then you can see through the monitor there parang it was like floating around there, and I could see that she hit like the bottom of the sack and then she went like this [Doug acts as if swimming] gumanon s’ya. Sabi ko boy kaya to, kasi gumanon s’ya tapos ano to swimmer? Pero any gender will be fine with us, but for me I wanted to have a girl. And everyone like all of our family were saying boy ‘yan, boy ‘yan. Sabi ko hindi, I know best, that’s a girl!” said the basketball player with confidence.

Like other pregnant women, Cheska also had difficult moments during her first month of pregnancy, especially when dealing with morning sickness. Co-host Angel Aquino curiously asked about Cheska’s ‘paglilihi.’ The female TV host revealed, “Pinaglilihian ko si Doug. Alam mo bang every night naiinis yan sa akin, kasi sasabihin n’ya, ‘Honey let’s sleep,’ we’re gonna sleep na? Wait I wanna talk.” She then laughed as she narrated: “Imagine I have to wake up 6:30 in the morning everyday. So I hit the bed mga 11 o’clock. Matutulog na, ‘Honey you’re sleeping na?!”

Even though they are very excited about the arrival of the new member of their family, Cheska and Doug are also taking steps to prepare for their responsibilities as new parents. “I’ve been attending parenting seminars. Si Doug hindi s’ya nakakapunta kasi he has practice, so I’m making kwento about the seminar, on how to discipline your child, on how to bring your child up, so it’s nice because I’m also with my kabarkadas who have kids already,” reveals Chesca.

Before the exclusive interview ended, Doug and Cheska expressed how much they cared for each other and how excited they were about the arrival of their first baby girl whom they have yet to name.

Us Girls airs every Sunday night on Studio 23 at 7 pm.
