Who is Charice Pempengco?

Charice Relucio Pempengco, better known by her stage name Charice was born May 10, 1993. Just like Arnel Pineda, the new Lead vocalist of The Journey, Charice Pempengco became a singing sensation throughout the world through YouTube. She started joining singing contests at the age of thirteen but was locally when she placed third in Little Big Star.

Taped earlier but shown on May 12, 2008, Charice Pempengco appeared in Oprah and was featured on kids with extraordinary abilities. Charice blew the audience away with her performance of Whitney Houston’s song I Have Nothing. After her fantastic performance, an emotional Charice told Oprah, “I’m always dreaming that someday I can be a part of your show. I can’t believe I’m here standing with you. This is my dream come true.”

On May 10, 2008, Charice was a special performer in the Filipino hit noon time show Wowowee which held a special show in Hawaii.

On May 17, 2008, Charice was a performer in MGM Grand @ Firewoods opening with David Foster, Alicia Keys, Jamia Simone Nash, Nick Cannon, John Mayer, Josh Groban, among others..

On May 23, 2008, Charice Pempengco was once again a performer in David Foster’s One Night Tribute Concert with Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble’, and former American Idol finalists Katharine McPhee and Michael Johns, among others. In the concert, David Foster hailed Charice and said that, ” A Star Is Born Tonight.” Josh Groban also declared that Charice is one of the most beautiful voices he has heard in a long time.

I’m sure you probably heard about this news about Marian Rivera “nagtaray” caught in video.

This apparent “Nagtaray” video of Marian Rivera, which can be found on Yutube, if you do a quick search, shows a “bastos” and “Mataray” Marian talking with an unknown guy.

Marian justified her actions by saying that she was just defending herself from the disrespectful retorts of the guy. What the video shows is the part where the Marian is “Nagtataray”. What the video didn’t show is the part where Marian kindly asking the guy to stop talking video of the show .. which is not allowed anyway. But the guy answered back offensive words.. That’s the time where Marian Rivera defended herself, which what the guy uploaded on Utube.

Code Name: Acero, Starts Shooting

GMA 7 has just started shooting (well, I think they are) their latest prime time fanta serye after Richard Guiterrez’ Kamandag.

Yesterday, or day before, Richard Guiterrez together with the new kapuso star Heart Evangelista flew to Dubai to shoot the first or pilot episode of the new tele serye - Code Name: Acero.

How Hard is the Iron Man?

Very Hard, apparently! Just like the rest of the Marvel and DC superheroes made into movie, the Filipinos welcomed and accepted the newest Superhero to appear on the silver screen!

Have you seen the movie yet? If you still haven’t, may I suggest you do so now so you wont be left behind the ‘kwentuhan’ and all. The movie and the CGI - the armor - is quite nice.
